Henok Tekeste - President

Mr. Henok Tekeste graduated from the ArbaMinch Water Technology Institute in Ethiopia with a B.S. in Sanitary Engineering. He furthered his career by achieving a Masters Degree in Sanitary Engineering from the International Institute for Infrastructure – Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering based in the Netherlands. He then went on to complete his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University. 

Throughout his 16 year career he upheld the highest standards of quality and safety, finally opening up his own company in 2005, Blue Nile Engineering, Inc. He has abided by his high standards, always providing quality workmanship at an economically friendly price.

Philip Birkey – Project Coordinator

Mr. Philip Birkey graduated from Missouri Valley College in 2002, and has been a vital part of the collection system industry over the past 4 years. He has served as Contract Manager, and Operations Manager and now serves as Project Coordinator and Safety Manager at Blue Nile Contractors, Inc. His main responsibility is the coordination of projects and paperwork, making sure that all employees and management are on the same page.

Tim Covey – Project Manager
Mr. Tim Covey has been in the Collection System industry for the past 26 years. He has helped national corporations grow their business exponentially. He has served as president growing a company from 2 crews to over 20 in a period of a year. His vast knowledge of the workings and his thinking outside the box proves him to be a vital member of this team and can come up with solutions to almost any issue.

Jim Walker – Project Manager

Mr. Jim Walker has been in the Construction industry for the past 32 years. He has been a played a vital role from operating to management in construction of over 700,000 linear feet of water, sanitary sewer, and storm lines. His experience has proved useful in a variety of projects and has helped those projects be successful.
